"I support handmade. It shouldn't take a poor economy for us to make things that are imbued with love, creativity, and thoughtfulness. Handmade says so much more than something store bought could. Recycle and reuse before you buy more. Make what you can, buy locally and handmade when you can't. - Ria"

Dragonfly Press Publishing
Dragonfly Press Publishing is home to the Kraft Paper Muse and several other zine projects. I will also be using the site to showcase other publishing projects that I am involved with such as the upcoming Coffee Cartel: The Collaborative Experience and Making Art from Non_Cents.

With its first issue coming out June 1st, Three Dollar Squirrel has already garnered some attention so I am looking forward to seeing where it leads. If you are a writer, stop by and check out the Squirrelly goodness going on. I am always looking for submissions so follow the guidelines and contact me!

Word Whimsy
Word Whimsy is a writer’s group that I run in Ocala, Florida. Intended to inspire creativity and help writer’s of all experience levels to overcome obstacles in their creative process, my partner, Laurel Mathis, and I are currently developing the group’s online presence. An online “muse” of sorts, Word Whimsy will challenge you to do step out of your comfort zone and look at writing and the world around you from a new perspective. We have a book in the works and I will post more information at a later date.

CURRENTLY EVOLVING

Gumtree Graphic Rubber
A full line of graphic art rubber stamps is currently developing under the name Gumtree Graphic Rubber. Participating artists will have their own line of stamps with a percentage of their proceeds not only going to them but to a charity of their choice. I have taken on a partner for the project and hope to have more information soon. Gumtree is about “making positive action an art form”.

Odonatia
Odonatia is a fictional postal issuing authority turned novel that I am currently writing. Those who have read what I have written so far, in excess of 130,000 words, have agreed hands down that it is “movie worthy” which keeps me motivated to write. The site will be home to several interactive, story-based activities. I will be posting updates regarding this project on my writing blog.
